About Me

Hello! My name is Srikanth "Sri" Bala, and I'm a senior at James Madison High School in Vienna, Virginia. This 2 year-old portfolio-blog site is one of my passionate hobbies where I log and track my thoughts about knowledge, choice, and responsibility, and how those ideas guide the work I do.

I'm currently a Fall Engineering Operations Intern at GRAIL, a company working on early detection of cancer. I support lab workflows and data quality by building small Python tools for sample tracking, reviewing batch QC results, and writing clear process notes. In the past, I also worked as a core contributor to Hea! - AI Health Tracker, which produces weekly health suggestions and insights from activity, sleep, nutrition, and mood data. I helped build the Smart Health Report, which pulls Apple Health data and app logs and turns them into a clear daily summary with trends, goals, and next steps.

In the future, I hope to revolve my career around the intersection of computer science, philosophy, and philanthropy. You can expect many innovative projects from me in the coming years!

In my free time, I enjoy reading philosophy books and playing basketball.
